Job summary

Pacific International Lines (PIL) in Mexico City seeks a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Collector to support daily AR operations, ensuring payments are collected, accurately applied, and reconciled under PIL policy and local standards. This role focuses on cash application, customer follow-up, AR reconciliation, and documentation control to reduce DSO and improve reporting.

Qualifications

• English not mandatory; basic reading/writing desirable.
• Technical diploma or Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 1–3 years of Accounts Receivable or Collections experience.
• ERP familiarity (Oracle, SAP or any local system).

Responsibilities

• Contact customers to obtain timely payment for outstanding invoices.
• Maintain an updated collection log with status, dates, and comments.
• Escalate overdue accounts to AR specialist & Controller.
• Support cash application and reconciliation processes.
• Assist in bank reconciliations and AR subledger vs GL balances.
• Prepare weekly aging and collection status reports.
• Ensure customer master data and credit terms are up to date.
