Job summary

HITACHI HIGH-TECH (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a field service professional to support semiconductor tool installations, acceptance testing, and on-site applications training.

You will troubleshoot technical issues, perform demonstrations, and coordinate with customers on requirements and schedules. The role involves frequent travel, working in clean room environments when needed, and collaboration with the sales team to promote new tools and after-sales solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of engineering experience in semiconductor processing.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to applications.
• Experience delivering classroom or on-the-job training (OJT).
• Willing to travel frequently and on short notice.
• Able to work in clean rooms and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Support installation and acceptance tests for semiconductor machines.
• Attend application-related service calls and troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct product demonstrations and application training for customers.
• Communicate technical requirements, activities and schedules with customers.
• Assist sales with new tool promotions and application-related offerings.
• Promote after-sales items and matching projects to customers.
• Prepare quotations, service records and technical documents for applications.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support semiconductor machine application needs which include installation and acceptance jobs.
• Attend application-related service calls, troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations and application training.
• Communicate with customers on technical requirements, activities and schedules.
• Support the sales team with new tool promotion.
• Promote application-related after-sales items, solution business and matching projects to customers.
• Support administrative work related to application service activities, such as preparing quotations, service records and technical documents.
• Any other duties as and when assigned by superiors.

Other Requirements:

• 2-4 years of relevant engineering experience in a semiconductor process environment, preferably with CD-SEM experience.
• Good technical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot application-related issues.
• Ability to conduct classroom or on-the-job training (OJT) on system theory for engineers and customers.
• Able to travel frequently and on short notice.
• Ability to work in clean rooms when required.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Possess good communication and presentation skills.
