Job summary

Hong Kong Unison Limited in Singapore seeks an Application Support Engineer to provide 24x7 operational support, monitor alerts and manage incidents, and participate in deployments. You will handle production queries from MAS, banks, auditors and other BCs users.

The role requires strong SDLC knowledge, analytical skills, and hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, databases, APIs, Linux, and cloud services. Collaboration and security awareness are essential.

• Experience with AWS services (CloudWatch, KMS, S3, RDS, EKS, EC2, ALB, API Gateway).
• Knowledge of microservices, containers, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Cloud-based architecture and DevSecOps are a plus.
• Experience with Spring 4/5/6, Struts 2.x, Spring Boot/Batch/Integration is a plus.
• Domain knowledge of Financial Clearing and ISO20022 is a plus.

Job description

Position Overview: The Application Support Engineer will assist in operational tasks such as 24x7 day-to-day support, ensure stability of environments, monitor alerts, and perform incident and problem management. The incumbent will also participate in application deployments and assist external parties, e.g. addressing regular production related queries and RFIs from MAS, banks, auditors and other BCS users.

• Passionate reading the codebase and understanding how the system behaves.

• Technically with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java, Kotlin, J2EE/JEE, MySQL, Oracle, SQL/ PLSQL, Jasper report, APIs (RESTful and SOAP) and/or XML.
• Understanding of Linux OS such as RHEL and Unix shell scripting.
• Experience in AWS services (CloudWatch, KMS, S3, RDS, EKS, ec2, ALB, Api Gateway)
• Knowledge of Cryptographic concepts like Encryption Keys and SSL certificates is a plus.
• Understanding the micro services architecture & containers & orchestration services like Kubernetes and Docker
• Cloud-based architecture and DevSecOps technologies are a plus.
• Experience in Spring 4.x / 5.x / 6.x and Struts 2.x frameworks, Spring Boot and/or Spring Batch, Spring Integration would be added advantage.
• Domain knowledge of Financial Clearing and Payment Systems and ISO20022 standard is a plus.
