Job summary

ASMPT SMT SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an Application Engineer to profitably deliver factory-level software solutions for customers, leveraging MES products and custom software capabilities.

You will work with SMT/semiconductor knowledge, interface technologies, and collaborate with regional teams to implement integrations with MES/ERP and provide robust customer support. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally is required; a Bachelor's degree in software engineering and 5+

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related discipline.
• Preferably with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in .Net/C#, webservices, XML/JSON/AMQP, OOD, networking, SQL, and GUI development.
• Experience in direct customer interactions.
• Experience in SMT/Semiconductor domain.
• Expertise in Software design and implementation.
• Skilled in project management and planning.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a drive to deliver profitable projects.
• Hands-on experience in customer factory environments.
• Good customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environment across departments and teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a software expert, demonstrating expertise of the Company and Critical Manufacturing (MES software) products.
• Deliver factory solutions, including delivery of material logistics and automation projects.
• Integrate solutions with customer MES/ERP systems.
• Deliver custom software solutions and integrations for MES and third-party systems.
• Perform solution analysis, proposal specification, effort estimation, implementation, testing, installation and acceptance at customer sites.
• Provide technical support to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with global and regional teams on combined projects to share product knowledge and technologies.
• Follow guidance from the Design Authority and Configuration Manager regarding software development standards.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

Role:

As an Application Engineer, you will be required to profitably deliver factory-level software solutions to customers. You will leverage the Company's products, software expertise, and custom software capabilities to meet customer needs effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as a software expert, demonstrating:
   • Expertise of the Company and Critical Manufacturing (MES software) products
   • Knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Semiconductor markets
   • Support for digital product business development across the Rest of Asia region
   • Expertise in equipment interface technologies (e.g. Operations Information Broker, IPC-Hermes, SECS/GEM, IPC-CFX)
2. Deliver factory solution, including:
   • Delivery of material logistics and automation projects
   • Integration of solutions with customer MES/ERP systems
3. Deliver custom software solutions, including:
   • Designing and delivering custom software solutions
   • Providing custom integration solutions to MES systems and third-party systems
4. Perform solution analysis, proposal specification, effort estimation, implementation, testing, installation and acceptance at customer sites

Requirements:
