Job summary

AIG Asia Pacific Insurance Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Leader to manage underwriting analyses and oversight for prospect and renewal accounts in APAC.

You will work with risk engineering, claims, and analytical teams to price risk and ensure efficient operations. In this role, you will negotiate terms with brokers and clients, maintain accurate underwriting data, and build strong relationships with partners. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in energy/construction underwriting or brokerage are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree.
• Strong knowledge in financial/credit analysis and interpretation of financial statements.
• Minimum 2 years of experience underwriting or brokerage in the energy and construction segment.
• Experience in account management, dealing with stakeholders (Brokers etc).
• Independent, able to multi-task and possess initiative to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Results oriented and highly accountable.
• Foreign language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite prospect business and renewal accounts in APAC, in line with underwriting authority and guidelines.
• Collaborate with risk engineering, claims and analytical support teams to assess risk quality and loss exposures.
• Negotiate contract terms with brokers and clients.
• Adhere to procedures and documentation management standards.
• Maintain underwriting information accurately in systems.
• Foster strong business relationships with external and internal partners.
• Understand clients’ businesses to develop effective insurance solutions.
• Attend client/broker meetings, presentations, and industry events for the company.
• Participate in special underwriting projects as required.
• Work cross-functionally with other underwriting teams to achieve objectives.
