Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers seeks a Senior Contracts Manager to serve as the region's lead contracting advisor for APAC projects spanning India, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and beyond. You will own complex negotiations, shape contracting structures, and partner with Legal, Finance, Risk, and stakeholders to mitigate commercial risk across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience negotiating complex commercial contracts in data centers, construction, or related capital-intensive industries.
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions and with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of construction, EPC/EPCM, design, professional services, equipment procurement, and project agreements.
• Negotiate key commercial terms including liability, indemnity, insurance, warranties, schedule, delay, liquidated damages, payment, and dispute resolution.
• Partner with Supply Chain and Category Management to determine contracting strategy across regional frameworks and local agreements.
• Support appropriate use of contracting entities and coordinate with Legal, Tax, Finance, Risk on country-specific requirements.
• Anticipate contracting needs based on project pipeline, procurement strategy, and construction schedules.
• Identify opportunities to create scalable contracting structures across projects, suppliers, campuses, and countries.
• Act as trusted advisor to regional and country leadership on contracting strategy, escalations, and commercial risk decisions.
• Translate contractual issues into practical commercial guidance for business stakeholders.
• Support contract interpretation, change management, performance issues, and claims avoidance during execution.
• Promote use of templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and contracting procedures.
• Capture recurring negotiation issues and supplier precedents; improve contracting standards and processes.
