Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Group Leader for Safety Model Operations to lead and scale large teams across APAC, delivering high-quality content moderation, labeling, and evaluation to improve AI model performance. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, operations, data science, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing managers in Trust & Safety, AI Operations, Data Annotation, or Tech Operations.
• Strong understanding of the impact of human operations on AI model training and performance.
• Experience in strategy development, operational execution, and data-driven decision making under tight timelines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across engineering, product, policy, and operations.
• Proficiency with data tools for operational analysis, including SQL and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale large operational teams delivering high-quality AI moderation and labeling services.
• Ensure accountability for operational KPIs and downstream model impact.
• Understand how operations affect model training, safety, and alignment including RLHF/RLAIF.
• Conduct reviews, RCAs, and quality audits linking findings to model outcomes.
• Monitor quality performance against project KPIs and identify risks.
• Drive continuous improvement in annotation accuracy and inter-annotator agreement.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, policy, and data science to run experiments.
• Enhance proprietary tools and workflows.
• Develop training programs combining operational excellence with systems thinking.
• Manage data collection, reporting, productivity, unit costs, and quality targets.
