Job summary

Secretlab is seeking a commercially minded People Operations Manager to lead a regional team and run the operational infrastructure for our workforce in Asia.

You will own payroll, ER investigations, policy coordination, and mobility/spend management, while partnering with HRBPs to drive performance and culture.

The role requires 5–8 years in People Operations with 3+ years leading a team, Mandarin proficiency, strong English, and deep knowledge of Asian employment laws and HR tools.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in People Operations/Shared Services
• 3+ years managing a team
• Proficient in Asian employment laws & practices
• Business proficiency in Mandarin for liaising with Chinese employees and vendors
• Exceptional proficiency in written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and capacity-plan for a small team of People Ops professionals and drive a culture of Zero Error, Always On Time and High Agency
• Own the operational execution of appraisal cycles, including system configuration and timeline management
• Provide operational support for sensitive Employee Relations investigations and ensure procedural fairness
• Collaborate with Legal & Compliance on Employee Handbooks and Agreements
• Oversee monthly payroll for three entities and monitor costs and travel spend
• Manage Corporate Travel Policy, visa/relocation processes and vendor negotiations with cost-efficiency and safety in mind
