Job summary

Anthropic Limited in Singapore seeks a Director of Payroll to lead international payroll operations across multiple countries. You will manage full-cycle payroll, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise relationships with third-party providers, reporting to the Head of International Accounting with a dotted line to Global Payroll.

The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting/finance and 10+ years’ payroll experience, including 5+ years international payroll.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years in payroll operations, with 5+ in international payroll.
• Experience with multiple compensation types: regular, off-cycle, severance, taxable benefits, equity.
• Strong knowledge of international payroll regulations and compliance.
• Experienced with payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll processing for APAC international entities including India, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, and others.
• Support expansion of payroll operations to new countries including Singapore, New Zealand, and others.
• Support Corporate Accounting with month-end payroll related accounting tasks and questions.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and employment laws across all jurisdictions.
• Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding international payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.
• Partner closely with the equity team to process stock options.
• Resolve international tax notices from various tax authorities.
• Collaborate with People, Tax, Global Mobility, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and implement process improvements.
• Assist in preparing international payroll reports and analytics for management review.
• Support payroll systems integration projects and process automation initiatives.
• Process end-to-end payroll using Workday and Global Payroll Platform (PwC)
