Job summary

UPS is seeking a Singapore-based APAC Legal Manager to provide comprehensive legal support across Asia Pacific. The role involves contract negotiations, regulatory research, and ensuring compliance for new product launches.

You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, supervise junior lawyers, coordinate with external firms, and travel as needed. Fluency in English is required; Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Recognized Law Degree (LLM or JD) and at least 4 years of relevant legal experience.
• Advanced drafting skills for commercial contracts.
• Fluent in English; additional Mandarin/Japanese/Korean proficiency preferred.
• Ability to work independently within a matrix organization.
• Experience handling regulatory and trade compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate customer contracts for APAC region.
• Research legal requirements for new product launches in Asia Pacific.
• Manage regulatory and trade compliance programs.
• Draft commercial contracts and resolve disputes with guidance to junior staff.
• Supervise external law firms and coordinate internal and external teams.
• Travel within Asia Pacific as required; manage portfolios for North Asia.
