Job summary

The successful candidate will bring 18+ years PQE with a track record in M&A, JVs, and commercial contracts, and will manage internal teams and external counsel relationships within a dynamic regional framework.

Qualifications

• Education: LLB or LLM from a reputable law school.
• Admitted to practice in at least one APAC jurisdiction.
• Minimum 18 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) with a mix of international law firm and in-house MNC experience.
• Proven track record in cross-border transactions (M&A, JVs, commercial contracts) and managing multi-jurisdictional legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the APAC legal team across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide senior-level legal counsel to the APAC President and Executive Council.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate enterprise-level legal risks including regulatory, litigation, and contractual risks.
• Establish legal operational frameworks, playbooks, and digitalisation initiatives.
• Manage external counsel relationships and regional legal budgets.
