Job summary

Lawes Consulting Group in Singapore seeks a Senior Business Development Executive to drive direct sales to prospective clients and collaborate with brokers across the Asia Pacific region. You will build and maintain client relationships, develop strategic call plans, and contribute to a robust sales pipeline.

The role emphasizes market intelligence, competitive analysis, and participation in industry events to expand business opportunities within the insurance sector.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience in risk management, loss prevention engineering, claims or underwriting.
• Experience in the broader insurance industry is desired but not essential.
• Proven sales experience is a plus, with knowledge of the sales process from prospecting through to closing.
• A Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Selling directly to prospective clients, as well as working alongside brokers
• Developing strategy and completing call plans and reports to keep prospect information and documentation up to date in the Strategic Relationship System (SRS)
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective clients and brokers to generate a continuous pipeline of new business opportunities
• Managing new business opportunities through ongoing prospect development
• Staying actively involved in the local insurance and brokerage community, participating in meetings, conferences and industry events
• Maintaining a thorough understanding of competitors' products, services, pricing strategy and practices
• Prospecting, nurturing and following up on new business opportunities through to negotiation and close
• Keeping on top of market and competitor activity across the region
• Representing the business at industry meetings, conferences and events
