Job summary

FM Global in Singapore is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to drive new business with prospective clients and brokers. You will develop strategies, manage opportunities, and maintain relationships while leveraging market insights and competitive positioning.

You will engage in meetings and industry events, with a strong emphasis on English communication, planning, and relationship management to support FM Global's growth in Asia Pacific.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 10 years' working experience in risk management, loss prevention engineering, claims or underwriting.
• Experience in the broader insurance industry is desired but not essential.
• Knowledge of sales processes (prospecting, nurturing, follow-up, follow-through, negotiating, closing) and proven sales experience is a plus.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including facilitating and presentation;
• Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills;
• Technology and social media savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft office software

Responsibilities

• Achieve new business objectives as established by the Regional Sales Manager;
• Develop strategy and complete call plans / reports to ensure that all prospects' information and documentation are updated in the SRS (Strategic Relationship System);
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with prospective clients and brokers to successfully create continuous new business opportunities;
• Manage new business opportunities by continuously developing prospects;
• Maintain an active involvement in the local insurance and brokerage community by participating in meetings, conferences and industry-related functions;
• Maintain a thorough understanding of competitors' products, services, current pricing strategy and practices.
