Job summary

Scotiabank seeks an Associate Director, Global Transaction Banking in Singapore to drive end-to-end client coverage and GTB solutions across markets. You will build and manage relationships with senior client executives and coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize liquidity, payments, and working capital solutions.

The role requires deep transactional banking experience, strong risk and negotiation skills, and a track record of leading teams while delivering strategic client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of transaction banking experience, including global cash management, liquidity management, trade and working capital solutions, and corporate/global banking experience.
• Knowledge of transaction banking products, credit and risk processes and pricing philosophy.
• Excellent communication skills with a track record in building relationships with clients and prospects.
• Proven negotiation and active listening skills; critical and strategic thinking.
• Experience in managing operational and enterprise risk.

Responsibilities

• Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank connections.
• Grows relationship revenue by prospecting and sourcing new transaction banking business while retaining and expanding existing client relationships.
• Coordinates with solutions specialists to deliver a seamless end-to-end client experience and lead business process reviews aligned to key client sales opportunities.
• Partners with internal product stakeholders to represent client perspectives in the development and evolution of products and solutions.
• Collaborate with key partners including Corporate & Investment Banking, Group Treasury, Global Risk Management, Capital Markets, Global Operations, Fulfillment and Servicing.
• Manages relationships with CFOs, Treasurers, VPs of Finance, and Controllers, to provide integrated transaction banking solutions within a consultative and client driven framework.
• Delivers thought leadership to the market, prospects, and clients, in collaboration with solution/product partners on all transaction banking related topics at client roundtables, industry conferences, webinars, and client events.
• Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Provides transparent and thoughtful consideration to risk assessments.
• Ensures all activities are conducted in line with Scotiabank’s risk appetite, credit standards, and regulatory framework.
