Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking an Equity Execution Trader for a leading hedge fund in Singapore. The role will execute equity trades across Asia-Pacific, working closely with Portfolio Managers and analysts to understand trading requirements and execute efficiently.

You will monitor market conditions, liquidity and flows to inform decisions, develop strong relationships with brokers, and provide market colour and trading intelligence to investment teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

2–4 years of equity trading/execution experience.
Experience at a leading hedge fund or asset manager.
Strong understanding of cash equities and Asian markets.
Experience supporting discretionary long/short equity strategies.
Knowledge of market structure, liquidity and execution.
Excellent communication with portfolio managers and investment professionals.
Commercial mindset with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Execute equity trades across Asia-Pacific markets on behalf of discretionary long/short investors.
Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Analysts to understand trading requirements and execute efficiently.
Monitor market conditions, liquidity and flows to inform execution decisions.
Develop strong relationships with brokers and other market counterparties.
Provide market colour, liquidity insights and trading intelligence to investment teams.
Evaluate execution outcomes and identify opportunities to improve trading efficiency.
Work collaboratively with the wider trading, investment, operations and risk functions.
