Job summary

EASTSPRING INVESTMENTS (SINGAPORE) LIMITED is seeking a talented trader for the Global Dealing Desk to execute equity and listed derivatives trades with a primary focus on a major Asian market. You will partner with PMs, operations, compliance, and risk to ensure best execution in a fast-paced trading environment.

Role requires 2–5 years of trading experience, solid understanding of market microstructure, and proficiency with EMS/OMS platforms.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant trading experience, with core expertise in a major Asian equities market.
• Familiarity with listed derivatives (e.g. index futures, options) and their role in portfolio implementation, hedging, and liquidity management.
• Strong understanding of market microstructure, liquidity dynamics, and execution strategies across different trading conditions.
• Ability to balance electronic and voice execution, applying appropriate protocols to achieve best execution outcomes.
• Proficient in the use of trading systems, EMS/OMS platforms, and data tools to support execution, analysis, and workflow efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse trading data and derive actionable insights to enhance execution performance and process improvements.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with portfolio managers, analysts, and counterparties on market developments, flows, and trading strategies.
• High attention to detail with disciplined adherence to risk controls, compliance requirements, and internal governance standards.
• Proactive mindset with willingness to drive innovation, automation, and continuous improvement in trading processes.
• Strong academic ability with a proactive attitude towards learning and expanding asset/product coverage.

Responsibilities

• Execute trades across equity markets with a focus on a major Asian market, and support multi-asset trading activities including derivatives.
• Provide trade execution coverage across assigned Asian markets and broader regional, global, and multi-asset dealing activities.
• Exercise sound judgment when selecting execution methods, venues, algorithms, and counterparties to support best execution outcomes.
• Support best execution framework by ensuring orders are handled fairly, consistently, and in clients' best interests.
• Maintain understanding of equity market structure, liquidity dynamics, and settlement practices across covered markets.
• Communicate market intelligence, liquidity observations, and execution considerations to portfolio managers and stakeholders.
• Develop understanding of PMs’ investment processes to deliver appropriate execution support.
• Contribute to discussions on trade execution strategy and market developments while ensuring clear accountability.
• Review execution outcomes using cost analysis and other measures to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Upskill based on evolving requirements and support adoption of trading technology and data analytics.
