Job summary

Mott MacDonald is expanding its Battery Energy Storage System team in Asia to support the energy transition. The Energy Storage Specialist will focus on delivering technical services for BESS projects worldwide, with emphasis on Asia Pacific.

This role requires a degree in electrical engineering, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to lead projects, interface with clients, and collaborate across international teams. Travel is required as projects and opportunities arise.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering with specialization in power systems.
• Minimum 5 years experience in conceptual designs, simulation or deployment of BESS.
• Experience on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro) is a plus.
• Experience with international, multicultural environments is preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required by projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist inputs for BESS projects globally with focus on APAC.
• Interface with clients, manage relationships and respond to opportunities.
• Lead projects according to Mott MacDonald QA system.
• Coordinate resources and input from other parts of the organization.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of current technical standards and practices.
• Support digital strategy within the Energy sector.
