Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Director, Data Centre Design & Engineering to lead the technical design and delivery of APAC data centre facilities. You will shape standards for high-density AI and cloud deployments, and oversee multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.

You will drive design governance, risk management, and value engineering while ensuring uptime, safety and lifecycle performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
At least 12+ years experience in data centre design and engineering.
Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and delivering multiple data centre projects.
Strong knowledge of critical electrical and mechanical data centre systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the APAC Data Centre Design & Engineering function across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and controls disciplines.
Set technical strategy, design standards and reference architectures for Nscale data centres in the region.
Lead projects from due diligence through commissioning and handover.
Define Basis of Design, specifications, drawings and design change controls.
Ensure designs meet availability, resiliency, maintainability, and security requirements.
Develop solutions for high-density AI and GPU deployments, including cooling and power strategies.
Partner with Site Selection, Construction, Operations and Commercial teams to ensure robust designs.
Manage architects, engineers, contractors, OEMs and partners to meet targets.
