Job summary

EdgeConneX is seeking a Manager, Engineering Site Selection & Development (APAC) to drive early-stage data center development in APAC from feasibility to concept engineering. You will coordinate with real estate, electrical, mechanical, civil, and project teams, as well as utilities and authorities, to ensure development-ready sites.

The role requires 5–8 years in mission-critical infra, exposure to APAC markets, and strong knowledge of electrical and cooling systems for hyperscale requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering or related discipline.
• Direct experience and ownership of early-stage development, feasibility, and site due diligence.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in mission-critical infrastructure or large-scale projects, plus 2+ years in data center development.
• Exposure to APAC markets and multi-country project environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical systems and data center design principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluation of potential APAC data center sites, including visits and feasibility.
• Develop test fits, conceptual layouts and high-level engineering solutions.
• Engage with utilities to assess power capacity and grid connections.
• Prepare high-level development plans, schedules and budgets.
• Translate customer requirements into technical development strategies and site selection.
• Engage with authorities and internal stakeholders to secure permits and approvals.
• Identify risks across technical, regulatory and commercial domains and report them clearly.
• Stay current with hyperscale requirements and industry trends.
