Job summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead design, build, and governance of enterprise data platforms across APAC markets, with a strong focus on AML and regulatory data. You will drive end-to-end delivery from greenfield builds to operationalisation in a multi-country banking context.

The role requires deep data architecture expertise, Databricks proficiency, and ability to coordinate across business, technology, and regional leadership to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data architecture or related roles.
• 8+ years in Databricks.
• Strong exposure to Commercial / Corporate Banking and AML data domains.
• Experience working in regional APAC environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data lakehouse architectures on cloud platforms.
• Lead end-to-end data engineering and platform delivery across multiple streams.
• Partner with analytics teams to support BI, AML monitoring, and regulatory use cases.
• Define data governance, stewardship, and quality controls across environments.
• Collaborate with regional leadership and stakeholders to align architecture with business goals.
