Job summary

The Western Union Company in Singapore seeks a Director of Cross-Border Payments to lead APAC funds-out strategy and drive growth across major money remittance corridors. You will guide a regional product team, partner with engineering, risk, and compliance, and shape an ambitious remittance platform roadmap.

The role emphasizes scalable payout capabilities, regulatory alignment, and customer-centric experiences, with a focus on modernizing networks and expanding alternate payment methods.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of product management experience within financial services, payments, or fintech.
• 5+ years of leadership experience, managing and developing senior product talent.
• Deep understanding of payments, remittances, payout networks, or money movement ecosystems.
• Proven experience owning regional or multi-market product strategies in complex regulatory environments.
• Strong background in agile product development, roadmap ownership, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the APAC Funds Out product strategy, aligned to global platform direction and regional market needs.
• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and roadmap definition through delivery, launch, and optimization.
• Build and manage a team of Product Managers across regional and remote locations, fostering a high-performance, growth-oriented culture.
• Drive expansion and optimization of payout networks, including banks, wallets, cash, and alternative payment methods.
• Partners with engineering and platform teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and compliant payout solutions.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to ensure regulatory alignment across diverse APAC markets.
• Use data, customer insights, and market analysis to prioritize initiatives and measure product success.
• Act as a senior product leader and advocate across the organization, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
