Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Vice President Credit Risk Officer to lead coverage for a portfolio of Asia-Pacific hedge funds and asset managers. You will assess counterparty risk, set credit appetite, monitor exposure, and drive risk actions in partnership with risk, business, and legal teams.

You will conduct diligence, structure transactions end-to-end, and translate market developments into practical risk guidance for senior stakeholders. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in credit risk, counterparty risk, or related risk management within financial services.
• Ability to assess risk measures (VaR, stress loss, scenario analysis) and apply them to credit decisions.
• Knowledge of hedge funds, asset managers, and prime brokerage concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to summarize risk clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own primary credit coverage for APAC hedge funds and asset managers, including ratings, appetite, monitoring, and escalation.
• Lead client due diligence meetings with credibility through clear questions and active listening.
• Structure and drive end-to-end transaction approvals, including margin, mitigants, and legal terms.
• Evaluate exposure and risk analytics (VaR, stress testing, mark-to-market) and explain limits.
• Deliver timely risk recommendations balancing business needs with prudent risk discipline.
• Translate market and regulatory developments into actionable portfolio insights and actions.
• Collaborate with risk, business, and legal to align priorities and enable execution.
• Coordinate with global credit counterparts to maintain consistent coverage standards.
• Identify gaps in tools/processes and drive improvements for risk management.
• Coach junior team members and contribute to an inclusive team culture.
