Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Singapore is seeking an APAC Payments Operations Control – Vice President to lead a proactive risk and control culture in a fast-moving payments environment.

You will develop and execute an enhanced control framework, oversee risk assessments, and drive timely detection and remediation of control issues with senior partners. As a trusted leader, you will collaborate across operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology controls to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services risk & control.
• Strong understanding of payments products, business, and operations.
• Knowledge of risk and control management concepts, including RCSA with business partners.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills for senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management, across diverse senior partners.
• Ability to analyze and interpret program data including KRIs/KPIs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Build a proactive risk and control culture across payments operations through consistent evaluation and strong change management practices.
• Lead development and enhancement of the payments operations control framework and integrated risk assessment approach.
• Deliver end-to-end execution of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment, including identifying control gaps and remediation plans.
• Analyze key risk indicators and key performance indicators to identify trends and inform priorities.
• Drive timely control issue detection, escalation, root-cause analysis, and remediation tracking.
• Partner with stakeholders across business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology controls to align on risk decisions.
• Provide updates to senior management to support prioritization and resource decisions.
• Embed documentation, governance routines, and control testing practices to strengthen transparency.
• Influence control improvements across teams beyond reporting lines and meet deadlines.
