Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Director of Construction Management in Singapore to lead planning, coordination, and oversight of data center builds, fit-outs, upgrades, or infrastructure, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and the highest safety and quality standards.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and resources; collaborate with stakeholders and contractors; review documents; and implement risk-management plans while guiding project governance and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience as a construction or project manager/director, preferably with data centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Familiarity with data centre design, infrastructure, and MEP systems.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a safety thought leader - implement and enforce a robust safety culture.
• Plan and manage construction from inception to handover to operations teams.
• Develop budgets and schedules, and track progress against them.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and general contractors on plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define project goals and performance criteria.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee all phases of the construction process from design to closeout.
• Manage contractor, subcontractor, and vendor selection and negotiations.
• May be based on-site full-time to monitor progress and ensure safety/compliance.
• Review and approve construction documents, change orders, and documentation.
• Develop and monitor project budgets; analyze costs and identify savings.
• Review and approve contractor payments and invoices.
• Report on risk and maintain governance with senior stakeholders.
