Job summary

SIA Engineering Company invites applications for the Aircraft Maintenance License Trainee (AMLT) program. The 44-month structured path leads to a CAT B license from CAAS and eligibility to work as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer with certification rights.

Selected trainees will undergo CAAS-exam preparation, on-the-job training, and opportunities for overseas postings and career progression within the aerospace sector at SIA Engineering.

Qualifications

Job Description

PROGRAMME

Selected candidates will undergo a structured 44-month training program to qualify for a CAT B License from Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). On successful completion of training, you will be appointed as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE) and perform/certify aircraft maintenance task including inspection, repair, modification, and functional tests. You can look forward to a rewarding career in the aerospace industry with opportunities for overseas postings and career progression. Outstanding LAEs will have the opportunity to progress to executive and management positions.

TRAINING

1. Classroom lectures at Training Academy inclusive of SAR 66 basic course modules and other associated skills and aircraft systems training with examinations/assessments after each module
2. Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) examinations applicable for the category of license
3. On-the-job (practical) training at base and line maintenance environment, as well as other applicable workshops

OBLIGATIONS

1. Trainees are required to serve employment of 5 years in the Company upon the completion of training
2. If a trainee does not complete the training successfully or does not serve a minimum employment period of 5 years, the trainee will have to pay for training costs of up to $140,000 (liquidated damages)

REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering Degree from recognized university
• Polytechnic Diploma (Engineering) - GPA > 3.3
• Recent graduating Polytechnic and University are welcomed
• Strong interest in technical role within Aviation industry
• Positive and hardworking personality
• Must be able to differentiate colors for work purposes
