Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore East is seeking a Trainee Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join a structured training program designed to prepare candidates for the LAE role.

The 60-month pathway includes on-the-job training, calibration and tool maintenance, and compliance with maintenance data, safety standards, and CRS requirements. Training starts April 2027, with bonding for the duration of the program and five years thereafter.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Training period of 36 months (incl. on-the-job training).
• Trainees will be bonded for the duration of training and 5 years thereafter.
• Training programme will commence in April 2027.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day maintenance and rectification of aircraft defects.
• Ensure work complies with maintenance data, company, authority and customer requirements.
• Issue CRS for maintenance and repair per Quality Department authorization.
• Assist in forecasting manpower, spares and equipment needs.
• Ensure staff observes safety, report unsafe conditions.
• Assist in incident/accident investigation and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment under control.
• Keep aircraft on schedule with timely operations.
• Provide general supervision and discipline for staff under charge.
• Perform other duties as required.
