Private Advertiser is seeking an Air Freight Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end air freight import/export activities in Singapore. You will lead the operations team, coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, customs and customers to ensure efficient, compliant shipments.
You will monitor delays, resolve issues, and drive service quality while managing costs and KPIs. A strong background in air freight procedures and regulatory knowledge is essential.
The Air Freight Operations Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end air freight import and export operations, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and international trade regulations. The role oversees operational teams, coordinates with airlines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, customers, and other stakeholders, and drives service quality and operational performance.
Manage daily air freight import/export operations and documentation.
Lead and supervise the operations team, including performance and workload management.
Coordinate with airlines, agents, customs, trucking providers, overseas offices, and customers.
Monitor shipments and resolve delays, discrepancies, customs issues, and claims.
Ensure compliance with IATA, customs, security, and dangerous goods regulations.
Monitor KPIs, operational costs, service quality, and process efficiency.
Work closely with sales and customers to meet service requirements.
Identify operational improvements and ensure SOP compliance.
Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
5–8 years of air freight experience, with strong import/export knowledge.
2–3 years of supervisory or management experience.
Good knowledge of air freight procedures, customs, and shipping documentation.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
IATA/DGR knowledge and relevant logistics system experience are advantageous.
Willing to work extended hours, weekends, and public holidays when required.
