Job summary

Global AirFreight International in Singapore seeks an Export Shipment Coordinator to manage daily airfreight export shipments from receipt of instructions to handover and departure. You will liaise with customers, overseas agents, airlines, transporters, warehouse staff and brokers to ensure smooth execution and timely handover.

The role requires handling documentation, customs compliance and accurate data entry, with emphasis on meeting airline cut-off times.

Qualifications

• Min. O level, A Level, or Diploma qualification.
• Experienced in Air Export Operations, Customer Service or Warehousing is an advantage.
• Required to work on shift basis and alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily airfreight export shipments from receipt of shipping instructions through to cargo handover and flight departure.
• Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, airlines, transporters, warehouse personnel and custom brokers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Monitor shipment progress and ensure cargo is delivered to airline warehouse within the required cut off times.
• Prepare and verify export shipping documents, including air waybills, commercial invoices and packing list, export permits and custom declarations, shipping instructions and cargo manifests, certificates and other supporting documents, where applicable.
• Ensure accurate data entry for shipper, consignee, cargo description, weight, dimensions, number of packages and destination details.
• Ensure compliance with custom regulations, airline operating procedures, security requirement and applicable international airfreight regulations.
• Identify and rectify discrepancies in documentation before cargo acceptance or departure.
• Verify cargo dimensions, gross weight, chargeable weight and shipment details against booking and shipping documents.
• Coordination cargo palletization, ULD build-up and cargo segregation according to airline and aircraft requirements.
• Ensure proper handling of fragile, valuable, temperature-sensitive, oversized and other special cargo.
• Monitor cargo acceptance and resolve discrepancies such as short shipped cargo, damaged packages, incorrect labels and weigh differences.
• Ensure cargo is prepared and handed over within airline warehouse cut off deadlines.
