Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) is seeking a hands-on AI risk governance professional to conduct end-to-end risk assessments for Generative AI and Agentic AI systems. You will develop prototypes, evaluation environments, and proof-of-concepts to independently test and challenge AI solutions proposed by AI builders across the bank.

The role emphasizes independent validation, frontier technology monitoring, and strong communication of decision-oriented findings to senior management.

Qualifications

• University graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related quantitative field.
• Postgraduate or research background in ML/Generative AI/Agentic AI or AI safety is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent review and effective challenge of AI use cases including Generative AI and Agentic AI.
• Scan the market and research frontier for emerging AI technologies and regulatory developments.
• Develop proofs of concepts and reference implementations for AI solutions to support validation and risk assessment.
• Conduct applied research to strengthen validation methodologies, evaluation approaches and metrics.
• Apply domain knowledge of AI risk evaluations including prompt injection, data poisoning, and distribution shift.
• Communicate technical and risk findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
