Job summary

Microsoft seeks a Frontier Intelligent Optimization SME to establish a permanent optimization rhythm, redesign workflows, and embed improvements with clear ownership. You will analyze signals, refine prompts, and direct agent configurations to raise value across engagements.

You will partner with operators and business owners to ensure new ways of working stick, fade the engagement into a sustainable cadence, and drive ROI through disciplined execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Proven track record in continuous improvement programs delivering measurable results.
• Hands-on kaizen, Lean, or similar facilitation experience.
• Experience establishing standard work, ownership models, and execution cadences.
• Experience with QA or evaluation practices for production systems.
• Ability to read operational/adoption metrics and translate into improvements.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder-management skills across business and technical teams.
• Ability to embed new ways of working into daily operations with operators.

Responsibilities

• Establish and run the Intelligent Optimization Framework as a permanent, always-on operating rhythm.
• Redesign workflows and run structured improvement cycles with feedback loops.
• Embed new ways of working into standard work with clear ownership.
• Read Copilot Dashboard signals to identify gaps and prioritize improvements.
• Refine prompt libraries, enablement materials, and agent configurations.
• Detect and correct agent drift and optimize ROI-focused deployment.
• Establish durable standard work and cadences across teams.
• Facilitate improvement events and retrospectives with a learning mindset.
• Capture reusable patterns and playbooks for scalable improvements.
• Transfer optimization discipline to client teams for sustainability.
• Recommend discontinuation of low-value workflows and assets to free capacity.
