Job summary

National University of Singapore (NUS) through AISG seeks an experienced AI Governance Strategy Manager to contribute to the development and operationalisation of an AI governance framework in partnership with SAIC.

The role involves shaping the AI strategy roadmap, governance playbooks, and oversight of AI risk across the product lifecycle, with emphasis on regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement. A strong background in governance and data-driven metrics is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in public policy, law, governance, computer science, data science, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in governance, risk, compliance, policy, technology assurance, or related roles.
• Demonstrated AI literacy: able to work credibly with technical teams and understand modern GenAI patterns to govern them.
• Strong quantitative skills for data-driven KPI design, dashboarding, and governance metrics.
• Practical capability to evaluate risk in AI-enabled workflows, including retrieval, tool-use automation, and human-in-the-loop controls via LLMOps.
• Strong stakeholder management and writing skills; able to draft playbooks, decision matrices, and briefing packs.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of the AI Strategy Roadmap outlining objectives and guidelines for AI tools, models, deployment, and use-case discovery.
• Contribute to the AI governance playbook development to aid operationalisation of governance strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence AI-related risk considerations across the product lifecycle.
• Provide regular reports and insights on AI governance effectiveness and track governance metrics.
• Conduct strategic foresight to develop future scenarios and identify opportunities to optimise AI governance policies.
• Provide updates on evolving AI-related legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and influence internal senior, cross-functional, and external industry and regulatory stakeholders.
