Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an AI Governance Lead to drive responsible AI practices across large-scale initiatives. You will manage risk, strengthen governance, and guide teams through complex oversight needs to ensure clarity, control, and accountability in AI deployments.

You will partner with risk, legal, compliance, and technology stakeholders to translate policy into scalable processes and tooling, with executive reporting to support audits and client requests.

Qualifications

• Formal training and/or certification in AI/ML governance, including knowledge of agentic AI concepts (orchestration, tool use, human-in-the-loop controls, monitoring).
• Bachelor's degree with relevant technical experience in AI/ML governance, model risk management, or regulatory compliance.
• Experience delivering or governing AI/ML and generative AI solutions in financial services or highly regulated environments.
• Ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders across risk, legal, compliance, controls, business and technology teams.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of translating complex requirements into practical processes and controls.
• Proven ability to influence across teams, build consensus, and drive adoption without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison with the Firmwide CAO to coordinate region-specific responses to audit, regulatory, and client inquiries with outputs that are accurate, consistent, and evidence-supported.
• Lead the region for the CIB AI governance operating model, guiding teams through implementation with enablement and oversight for consistent adoption.
• Collaborate with data science, architecture, engineering, and data stakeholders to assess policy impacts and translate requirements into actionable plans.
• Maintain and improve AI/ML governance documentation, including procedures, charters, operating models, and job aids; manage reviews and refresh cycles.
• Partner with controls management to identify, document, and monitor AI/ML risks, issues, and actions through governance forums.
• Define and execute the governance tooling roadmap, including requirements and process standardization.
• Facilitate working sessions and stakeholder forums to align, unblock, and promote best practices across lines of business.
