Job summary

Micron Fab10 Singapore is seeking an Equipment/Production Engineer to plan and implement tool installations, relocations, and chamber retrofits to boost equipment performance.

You will maintain maintenance schedules, lead performance reviews, collaborate with facilities, vendors, and process owners, and report on uptime and cost-reduction projects. The role emphasizes AI-enabled improvements and strict QMS adherence in a fast-paced semiconductor setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required.
• Must be able and willing to work on non-standard working hours (e.g., compressed, 12-hour night shifts).
• Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and implement new tool installations, relocations, and chamber retrofits.
• Own and develop equipment maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Work with process owners to develop, prioritize and manage projects to reduce defects and improve uptime.
• Serve as the liaison between facilities, vendor reps, and shift personnel.
• Interact with process owners and tool vendors to develop new hardware, software, and technologies.
• Write and publish reports summarizing equipment availability improvements and cost reductions.
• All team members are required to complete learning items within the stipulated time frame.
• Ensure QMS processes are effective and deliver their outputs; promote customer focus.
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness.
• Contributes to continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements.
