Job summary

Micron is seeking a skilled engineer in Singapore to identify, diagnose, and resolve process and equipment challenges across advanced semiconductor manufacturing. You will lead optimization initiatives, qualify new equipment for emerging technologies, and drive yield improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong SPC/DOE/RCA knowledge, data-driven problem solving, and experience with MES systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required
• Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiment, Engineering Statistical data analysis would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose and resolve process and equipment related problems
• Coordinate and execute process, equipment and material evaluation / optimization initiatives and implement changes at process step
• Lead / Support the New Equipment Qualification to support new technology development and production ramp
• Lead / participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities
• Validate and fan out new process baseline qualified, including new process, tools and/or materials for new product introduction
• Support SPC/FDC/RMS/APC
• Manage / audit material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives
• Support internal and external audits
• Defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. Participate in design requirement review with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility with processing methods. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.
