Job summary

The National University of Singapore, through the Asian Institute of Digital Finance (AIDF), is seeking an AI Data Engineer to own and evolve data pipelines, databases, and ML-ready data assets. You will be responsible for ETL/ELT workflows, data modeling, and ensuring scalable data infrastructure.

You will collaborate with financial analysts and the R&D team on research-oriented work, applying data assets to AI projects and automated data collection workflows in a fast-paced academic

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/IT/Data Science or related field.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with good software practices.
• Hands-on ETL/ELT data pipelines on cloud platforms; GCP or Snowflake experience preferred.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow/Cloud Composer).
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and query tuning.
• Strong problem solving and independent work abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines and data models to support analytics and AI needs.
• Manage relational, NoSQL, and vector databases; optimize storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with analysts and R&D to enable data accessibility and reproducibility.
• Document pipelines, architecture, and schemas for onboarding and governance.
• Contribute to AI research projects and automation initiatives using data assets.
