Job summary

NCS Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and operate AI-ready data pipelines for production-grade AI, ML, and RAG systems in Singapore. You will own ingestion, cleaning, transformation, and data quality, plus governance and lineage.

Work closely with AI Engineers and AI Architects to ensure data architecture aligns with model and RAG needs, from fast POC to hardened production deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering with production-scale pipelines.
• Strong SQL and at least one programming language (Python/Scala/Java).
• Experience building data pipelines for AI/ML or RAG use cases.
• Solid data governance, PII handling, and access-control in regulated environments.
• Able to switch between rapid FDE/POC and production-scale engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver AI-ready data pipelines, including ingestion, cleaning, and transformation.
• Build batch and streaming pipelines (Airflow/Prefect/Spark) for reliable AI data flows.
• Own data quality, deduplication, and schema validation upstream of models and RAG.
• Architect RAG systems with document ingestion, embeddings, and vector search.
• Operate vector DBs and search infra at production scale and high query volumes.
• Implement data governance, residency, and access-control patterns.
• Mentor junior data engineers and contribute reusable patterns.
