Job summary

The Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited is seeking a dedicated professional in Singapore to support premium growth, strengthen agent engagement, and provide operational and technical support for the Agency Commercial Line. The role covers training, underwriting, servicing agents, and driving renewal activities.

You will underwrite risks within delegated authority, assist with training programmes and agency events, and contribute to business development and reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma and/or professional qualifications such as ANZII / ACII.
• Certifications in General Insurance (e.g. BCP, ComGI, PGI) and Health Insurance.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in general insurance or agency management.
• Strong underwriting knowledge and agency channel experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support the achievement of GWP targets and portfolio profitability.
• Conduct regular visitations and maintain strong working relationships with agents and intermediaries.
• Assist in organising and executing training programmes, agency events, and campaigns.
• Deliver basic product and underwriting training to agents and junior team members.
• Underwrite risks and prepare quotations within delegated authority in line with company guidelines.
• Support renewal reviews and follow-up to ensure timely policy renewals.
• Participate in credit control and premium collection follow-ups
• Assist in business development activities such as joint field visits and pipeline tracking.
• Provide operational and administrative support for agency initiatives and reporting.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
