Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking a CNC Machinist with at least 3 years of relevant experience to carry out repair and modification of aero engines. The ideal candidate should possess a diploma in Mechanical or Aviation Engineering and be proficient in CNC programming. Responsibilities include preparing CNC programs, machining heavy components, and ensuring quality throughout the process. The role requires a willingness to work day and night roster shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in programming and operation of CNC VTL.
• Able to compose CNC programs on Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain or other systems for machining operation.
• Good command of written English and engineering analytical skill.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repair and modification on aero engines per Rolls-Royce Engine Manuals.
• Prepare CNC programs and conduct first article inspections.
• Execute programs to machine large aero engine components according to engineering drawings.
• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC VTL.
• Monitor machining process to ensure quality.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to carry out repair and modification on aero engine in accordance with the requirements & instructions of Rolls-Royce Engine Manuals
• Preparing CNC program and conducting first article inspections to ensure quality
• Executing programs to machine the large, heavy aero engine components according to the engineering drawing of Rolls-Royce Engine Manuals
• Setting up, operating, and maintaining of CNC VTL
• Monitoring the machining process to ensure quality
• Troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Familiar in using different precision measuring instruments for dimensional inspection
• Understand and strict adherence to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
• Health & Safety practices (E.g. Personnel Protection Equipment, Fixture & Tooling storage & Cutting tools storage)

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in programming and operation of CNC VTL
• Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Engineering or related disciplines
• Able to interpret engineering drawings
• Able to compose CNC programs on Faunc, Siemens, Heidenhain or other systems for machining operation
• Good command of written English and engineering analytical skill
• Willing to take day and night roster shifts
