Job summary

Avril Education PTE. LTD. is seeking passionate English teachers to join our expanding team in Singapore. You will teach English to international students preparing for AEIS to gain entry into Singapore government schools.

Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, preparing AEIS-aligned plans, tracking progress, and providing feedback to students and the Head of Academic. Commitment of at least one year is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, Linguistics or related discipline.
• 1+ year teaching experience; experience with KET/PET/Math is an advantage.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Able to adapt teaching methods for diverse student groups.

Job description

Avril is looking for passionate and dedicated English Teachers to join our growing team. You will teach English to international students preparing for the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) to gain entry into Singapore government schools.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons for primary-level AEIS students.
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with the AEIS syllabus.
• Monitor students' academic progress and provide timely feedback to students and Head of Academic.
• Mark assignments and mock examination papers.
• Maintain accurate studetn records and attendance.
• Work closely with the academic team to continuously improve teaching materials and classroom outcomes.
• Foster a positive, encouraging and disciplined learning environment.

Academic Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, Linguistics or a related discipline
• Responsible, organized and a good team player
• At least 1 years of teaching experience (experience teaching KET/PET/Math is an advantage)
• Strong command of written and spoken English
• Passionate about teaching and committed to helping students achieve their academic goals
• Able to adapt teaching methods to suit students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds
