Job summary

Boys’ Town in Singapore seeks dedicated staff to support adventure-based programs, workshops and services. You will assume roles such as instructor, facilitator and mentor while ensuring safety and smooth program delivery across varied client groups.

You will collaborate with BTAC staff, conduct risk assessments and programme recees, and contribute to outreach and branding efforts. This role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and a passion for youth development.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma holder with good communications skills (spoken and written).
• Passion for active sports or outdoor adventure.
• SNCS level 1/2 or higher, SNAS level 1/2 or higher, SCF 1-star/2-star award or higher, SSI Pool Freediving (or equivalent) with a valid first aid certification.
• Passion to work with children and youth; including at-risk children and youths.
• Facilitation experience in ice breakers, team-building and problem-based activities.
• Expected to run activities such as running, hiking, swimming.
• Able to perform physical tasks such as abseiling, rock climbing and sport climbing.
• Job may require leading local and overseas expeditions involving trekking, climbing or paddling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in adventure-based programs, acting as instructor, facilitator or mentor.
• Facilitate programs and workshops for a wide range of clients; provide support to BTAC staff.
• Collaborate with BTAC instructional team to ensure smooth program delivery and resource support.
• Conduct programme recee with presentations and submit recee forms.
• Conduct risk assessments for events and programmes.
• Assist in marketing BTAC programmes and projects.
• Promote the branding and services of BTAC at internal and external events.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are safe and functional.
• Work evenings and weekends as required to resource programmes.
• Contribute to professional development and ongoing learning in adventure-based learning and client support.
