Job summary

Hua Siah Construction Pte Ltd is seeking an Accounts Assistant to manage the full set of accounts, prepare schedules for audits, and ensure accurate data entry in the accounting system. You will reconcile bank records, prepare invoices, and help with debt collection while liaising with clients, suppliers, auditors and tax agents.

The role also covers GST submissions, payroll processing from data collection to staff payments, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accountancy or accounting related qualifications is required.
• Candidates with 1 year of accounting experience are preferred.
• Must be proactive, committed and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Able to work independently with initiative and good problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; strong filing and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts and prepare schedules/reports for audit.
• Data entry into accounting system and report preparation.
• Reconcile accounting and bank records.
• Prepare invoices and assist with debt collection.
• Check and follow up on payment matters; liaise with clients, suppliers, auditors, and tax agents.
• Prepare GST returns and submit government survey reports as required.
• Assist with payroll preparation and budgeting exercises.
• Manage staff attendance and leave records.
• Adhere to Employment Act and support finance division as needed.
