Job summary

NURA SHIPCO MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to support the AP function, processing invoices and payments while maintaining accurate records.

You will prepare payment batches via bank transfers and GIRO, coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, and assist with month-end closing and audit readiness. Fresh graduates welcome; strong Excel skills required; able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting or accounts payable experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare payment batches and supporting documents for payment processing via bank transfers, GIRO, and other approved payment methods.
• Maintain and update AP records, master listings, and supporting schedules.
• Assist in supplier statement reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies where required.
• Respond to Accounts Payable queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
• Liaise with banks and suppliers to resolve routine payment-related matters.
• Assist in tracking supplier rebates and ensure timely application of credit notes.
• Coordinate with internal departments and the outsourced vessel accounting team regarding invoice status and payment matters.
• Assist with general ledger postings and the preparation of journal vouchers.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
