in Singapore is seeking a capable Finance and Accounting lead to oversee the full spectrum of financial operations for construction projects, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local regulations. You will prepare monthly and quarterly reports, manage budgets and cash flow, monitor job costing and revenue recognition, and provide analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Experience handling full set of accounts.
• Construction/real estate industry experience (min 3 years).
• Familiarity with Accpac Accounting software.
• Strong communication, self-motivation, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports, cash flow projections, and annual budgets.
• Provide financial information and analysis to support organizational decision-making.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with group accounting policies.
• Manage month-end and year-end closings ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.
• Monitor and manage financial aspects of construction projects including job costing, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, and work-in-progress reporting.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring project budgets and cost control measures to keep projects within financial guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations including preparation and submission of GST and statutory filings.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team by providing training, guidance, and performance support.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance finance operation efficiency.
• Prepare and analyze management reports for the group and its entities.
• Manage daily banking operations to ensure smooth financial transactions.
• Liaise with bankers on financing, treasury, and risk management matters.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses for management.
• Collaborate with departments to gather and analyze data for project costs, revenue, and balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure timely processing of invoices, vendor reconciliations, and payments.
• Provide financial and operational support to the finance team and subsidiaries.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders as required.
• Execute special projects and management requests as assigned.
