Job summary

DESIGN AIRE ENGINEERING (S) PTE LTD is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to manage full sets, payroll, GST, and project accounting for local and construction projects in Singapore.

You will handle AP/AR, month-end close, bank reconciliations, and prepare management reports, liaising with project teams, auditors, and suppliers. Immediate starters or with short notice are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/LCCI in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience and HR experience.
• Construction industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with subcontractor claims, progress claims, retention sums and project costing is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll software.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Singaporean/PR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with project profitability analysis.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts, including AP, AR and General Ledger.
• Process monthly payroll for local and foreign workers.
• Prepare and submit annual employment income records to IRAS under AIS by the required deadline.
• Calculate overtime, allowances, deductions, CPF, SDL, FWL and other payroll items.
• Handle construction project accounting and costing.
• Process and monitor subcontractor claims, progress claims, and payment certificates.
• Verify invoices, purchase orders, variation orders and supporting documents.
• Monitor retention sums, outstanding payments and project-related receivables.
• Prepare bank reconciliation, payment schedules and month-end closing.
• Handle GST matters and assist with annual audit and tax requirements.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with project profitability analysis.
• Liaise with project managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, suppliers, auditors and relevant authorities.
• Maintain accurate accounting, payroll and project records.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/LCCI in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience & HR experience
• Relevant construction industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with subcontractor claims, progress claims, retention sums and project costing is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software & payroll software
• Good attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
