Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking an experienced accounting professional for a Senior role in Singapore. You will manage month-end to year-end close, review accounts, and lead group consolidation and reporting across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in accounting, strong technical knowledge, Big 4 audit exposure, and a readiness to take on future people management responsibilities in a stable, well-established maritime finance environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline.
• CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant accounting, reporting and consolidation experience.
• Prior audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work independently within a hands-on and operational environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Prior team leadership or supervisory experience would be advantageous.
• Interest in taking on future people management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities for assigned entities.
• Review full sets of accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and review group consolidation, consolidation adjustments and consolidated financial reporting.
• Analyse financial results, investigate variances and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and Group accounting policies.
• Coordinate with external accounting service providers and review reporting deliverables.
• Support management reporting requirements and drive timely completion of reporting cycles.

Education

CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
