Job summary

HABITAT PROPERTIES PTE LTD is seeking a diligent finance professional to manage the full accounting cycle, including monthly financial statements and fund/private equity investments. You will reconcile ledgers, prepare management reports, and coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and the company secretary while collaborating with Hong Kong colleagues when required.

The role requires a degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/ACCA preferred) and at least two years in a related field.

Qualifications

• Experience managing full accounting cycle from source documents to financial statements.
• Fund accounting and public equity investment accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with bank account opening and related banking processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full sets of accounts and prepare monthly financial statements in a timely manner.
• Manage and verify financial records, asset valuations, and daily transactions of investment in funds and private equity.
• Transaction processing, recording and reconciling investment trades, capital calls, distributions, and cash movements.
• Reconcile general ledgers, schedules, bank statements and balance sheets.
• Prepare monthly management reports to shareholders.
• Review annual filings and tax returns and liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and company secretary.

Job description

Maintain full sets of accounts and prepare monthly financial statements in a timely manner.

Manage and verify the financial records, asset valuations, and daily transactions of investment in funds and private equity.

Transaction processing, record and reconcile investment trades, capital calls, distributions, and cash movements.

Reconcile general ledgers, various schedules, bank statements and balance sheets.

Maintain investment schedules and summary.

Prepare monthly management report to shareholders.

Review annual filing and tax returns filing documents.

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents (SG and USA), bankers and company secretary.

Collaborate with Hong Kong colleagues when required.

Any other ad-hoc duties as and when required.

Skills and Attributes

• Able to work independently and demonstrate strong discipline in closing monthly accounts accurately and on time.
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word .
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables are preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Meticulous, organised and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
• Able to prioritise tasks effectively and meet work objectives and deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Experience in managing the full accounting cycle, from original transaction source documents through to the preparation of final financial statements.
• Experience and knowledge in fund accounting and public equity investment accounting is preferred.
• Experience in bank account opening and related banking processes, with a good understanding of the required documentation and procedures.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in a related field is required.
