Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience handling full sets of accounts, preferably in an accounting firm or professional services.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Proficient in Excel and Xero.
  • Proficient in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
  • Detail-oriented, hands-on, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain full sets of accounts for group entities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, financial schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Handle GST/VAT filings and liaise with external tax agents and auditors.
  • Process payments, maintain vendor and banking records, and monitor payables.
  • Monitor cash balances and intercompany transactions across currencies.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
  • Maintain full sets of accounts for group entities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, financial schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Handle GST/VAT filings and liaise with external tax agents and auditors where required.
Operational Finance
  • Process payments, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Maintain vendor and banking records, monitor outstanding payables, and ensure timely settlement.
  • Implement and follow established control procedures for disbursements and reimbursements.
  • Monitor cash balances and support cash flow tracking to ensure sufficient funds for operational needs.
  • Handle intercompany transactions and perform reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies.
Internal Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with the Settlement Team to retrieve, verify, and reconcile transaction data for accurate bookkeeping and monthly management reporting.
  • Work with the Corporate Secretarial and Compliance teams to provide required financial data and support regulatory reporting and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Provide corporate secretarial and financial documents to internal stakeholders for operational, compliance, and banking/KYC purposes.
External Liaison(Agents & Auditors)
  • Liaise with external agents and auditors on routine accounting, tax, and statutory matters.
  • Coordinate with external service providers to ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory filings (e.g. Annual Returns, taxcomputations).
  • Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules and providing required supporting documents.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in handling full sets of accounts. Prior experience in an accounting firm or professional services environment, with exposure to full sets of accounts, is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems such as Xero.
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese (written and spoken),with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Chinese speaking internal and external stakeholders across functions.
  • Highly detail-oriented, hands‑on, and able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting and statutory deadlines.
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to support cross-functional teams.
