Job summary

RAYMOND CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking a qualified finance professional to oversee month-end close, financial reporting to management, and ensure compliance with FRS. You will manage accounting processes and support budgeting while coordinating with auditors and tax agents.

Responsibilities include variance analysis, GST/CIT compliance, and implementing new processes. A degree in accounting (ACCA/CPA/CA) and strong Excel skills are required; construction sector experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent; ACCA/CPA/CA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
• Analytical skills and detail-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in Excel with good data analysis capabilities.
• Construction industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Close month-end accurately and provide timely financial reporting to Management.
• Manage AP/AR, GL, reconciliations and other accounting tasks.
• Ensure reporting integrity and compliance with FRS.
• Analyse monthly financial performance and KPIs.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents and government authorities.
• Support forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Review variances between actual, forecast and budget.
• Assist in GST/CIT tax filing, audits, and compliance.
• Assist in new processes and system implementations.
• Ad-hoc reporting and other duties as assigned.

Statement Of Purpose (Overall Purpose of Job)

To provide and assist in management & financial reporting.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

(A) Specific :

• Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
• Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.).
• Ensure reporting integrity and compliance with FRS.
• Review and analyse monthly financial performances and key performance indicators.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
• Support forecasting and budgeting exercise.
• Review and analyse actual, forecast and budget.
• Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST/CIT), audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal.
• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.

(B) General :

• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
• Other duties as assigned.

(C) Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) :

• Ensure compliance with WSH regulations and company safety policies.
• Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO45001 and other management systems.
• Maintain safely manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefing, if applicable.
• Ensure all employees use propriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable.
• Identify project site / office hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Report accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly.

Job Requirements

(A) Education, Qualifications & Special Training:

• Minimum Degree in Accountancy, ACCA / CPA / CA.
• Job holder without the above qualification but with relevant experience would be considered.

(B) Knowledge & Skills:

• Good knowledge on Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
• Possess strong analytical skills.
• Proactive, committed and good team player with effective inter-personal skills.
• Proficient in Excel.

(C) Experience:

• Preferably minimum 3 years financial related experiences.
• Preferably with experience in construction industry.
• Candidate with audit experiences will be considered.
