Job summary

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or financial journalism.
• Strong literacy in financial markets; asset management/banking/real estate experience is advantageous.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills; Chinese is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple dynamic accounts and meet deadlines.

Our client is an independent financial and corporate communications consultancy. Their comprehensive suite of services spans financial services advisory, corporate communications, and capital markets transactions.

Role Overview

The Account Manager serves as the critical link between our clients’ strategic vision and flawless day-to-day execution. Managing a diverse portfolio of institutional financial and corporate clients, you will support the Director in providing high-level strategic counsel, own vital client relationships, and drive comprehensive campaign strategies. This role requires adept management of media relations, communications campaign, and thought leadership programs, alongside the direct supervision and mentorship of junior executives.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a diverse portfolio of global and regional financial institutions and corporate clients, ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and are executed on strict timelines.
• Create compelling narratives and actively write and refine high-level PR content. This includes drafting press releases, thought leadership articles, op-eds, and executive briefing documents.
• Manage end-to-end media relations. Proactively pitch top-tier financial, trade, and local publications to secure high-impact media coverage, arrange executive interviews, and execute comprehensive media campaigns designed to significantly enhance clients' public profiles.
• Drive the strategic planning and full logistical execution for media and client events. This includes organizing press conferences, media roundtables, client networking events, and executive media training sessions from start to finish.
• Provide direct guidance, editorial support, and active career development for Account Executives, fostering a culture of continuous learning

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or financial journalism. (Note: Candidates with slightly less experience may be considered for an Assistant Account Manager role).
• Strong literacy in financial markets (experience with asset management, banking, or real estate sector is highly advantageous).
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to translate complex, technical financial concepts into engaging, resonant stories. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple dynamic accounts, prioritise effectively, and thrive under tight deadlines.
