North Vista Primary School requires a service provider for youth-work support during the 2027 contract period. The role focuses on maintaining positive student behaviour through supervision of areas, detention sessions, incident management, and weekly reporting to the Student Development Team.

The position also supports school events, after-school supervision, and attendance-taking, with a restorative approach and strict professional boundaries during school hours.

Competenze

• Five years of experience in youth work or social services with children/youths, or SPF experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students with behavioural needs.
• Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Excel for data entry and discipline reports.
• Video-production skills are an advantage; SPF service experience is preferred.

• Conduct area supervision and walkabouts within school and at nearby void decks and playgrounds to support positive student behaviour.
• Supervise detention, reflection and community-service sessions in an orderly and meaningful manner.
• Assist with incident management through preliminary conversations, compilation of school records and retrieval of CCTV footage.
• Compile late-coming records and generate weekly reports for the Student Development Team.
• Support school events and student-development programmes, including after-school supervision and attendance-taking.
• Use a supportive, restorative approach and maintain professional boundaries in all student interactions.
• Perform other duties assigned by School Leaders or Key Personnel during stipulated working hours.

Name of Authority: North Vista Primary School

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027.

Option period: 1 January 2028 to 31 December 2028.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of a one-hour lunch break.
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and school holidays.

Requirements:

• Applicants without these qualifications may apply with at least five years of experience as a youth worker or working with children/youths in social services, or as a former Singapore Police Force officer, as stated in the tender.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to engage students with behavioural needs while maintaining clear expectations and professional boundaries.
• Competency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and working knowledge of Excel for data entry and discipline reports.
• Video-production skills are an advantage. Experience in child/youth/student engagement and management, or previous SPF service, is preferred.
